2024 Meeting Minutes

The annual general meeting for Central Oregon Barrel Racing was called to order at 7:09pm

at the Indoor Arena and Brasada.

Liz went over the different positions that needed to be filled and what the duties included.

Jason Wood was nominated as president and seconded by Char. All were in favor. Jason

Wood is the new president.

Brittany Santucci was nominated as Treasure and seconded by Char. All were in favor.

Brittany is the new treasure and will be added to the US Bank account in place of Desiree

Russell.

Karen Mitchell was nominated as the new Barrel Director and seconded by Ryan Mitchell.

All were in Favor and Karen Mitchell is your new Barrel Director.

Angie Finely was nominated as the Pole Director and seconded by Karen Mitchell. All were

in favor and Angie is your new Pole Director

Paisley Woods was nominated as the Goat Director and seconded by Char. All were in favor

and Paisley is your new Goat Director.

We are still looking for a day of Jackpot Secretary but will move forward until we find

someone who is willing to do so.

Char agreed to continue to help with the points which is a huge help to Jen.

It was decided that we will no longer do roll overs, and everyone will be paid out after each

jackpot.

We will continue to put a volunteer list out on the table so that everyone knows what duties

need to be filled and everyone can jump in and help.

We will continue to do a 3D Junior jackpot in the Junior classes.

Kari Ott made a motion that we have a no dog policy and there is to be no dogs in the arena

or building at any time. Reager second the motion and all were in favor.

It was discussed that we try and take a quick break between each age group so that we can

clear the arena and bring in the next age group so that everyone is ready to go.

Brittany made a motion that we add a third award person to the team and Jason Seconded

it. Wacey was nominated by Brittany and seconded by Liz. Wacey will be your third team

member to the awards team.

There was discussion about changing points horse to be your fastest horse not your first

horse. After a lengthy discussion, we decided to leave it how it is and your points count on

your first horse.

Sean Santucci said that he was good with bring the cattle again this year.

We will over the tentative dates but were waiting on the new board to make sure they

worked for everyone. We will continue to skip a jackpot in December with all that is going

on.

There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at 7:46PM
